INDICATIONS
A broad-spectrum iodophor disinfectant used for the control of bacterial, fungal, and viral infections in livestock and poultry environments. Suitable for use in animal housing, hatcheries, dairies, abattoirs, and food processing areas. Effective for routine sanitation and disease prevention.
Mode of Action
AGRIODINE 28 contains iodine as the active ingredient in an iodophor complex, which provides a sustained release of iodine. Iodine acts by penetrating microbial cell walls and inactivating proteins, enzymes, and nucleic acids, leading to rapid destruction of bacteria, fungi, and viruses. It is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms and remains active in the presence of organic matter.
Directions for Use
Clean all surfaces and equipment before application.
- General Disinfection: Dilute at 1:300 and apply using a sprayer or pressure washer. Ensure complete coverage of surfaces including corners, cracks, and porous areas.
- Equipment Disinfection: Use at 1:500 dilution for cages, feeders, drinkers, and vehicles.
- Water Systems: Dose at 1:1000 (0.1%). Fill the system completely and allow contact for at least 60 minutes, then flush with clean water.
- Aerial Fogging: Apply at 1:1000 dilution at a rate of 1 litre per 100 m² area.
Targeted Animals
Poultry, Cattle, Sheep, Goats, and other livestock.
Contraindications
Do not mix with alkaline substances or other disinfectants. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Not intended for direct application on animals unless specifically advised.
